Toonies For Hospice — Rules of Play

Licensed by Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Authority · AGD-100955-18

  1. Registration — registration may be made two ways:
    1. IN PERSON at the Hospice Office located in the Amherst Centre Mall, 142 South Albion Street, Amherst, NS — 902-669-0261. Drop into the office and fill out a registration form with your name, phone number (home and cell) and e-mail address. If you wish to play more than one number you will need to fill out a separate registration form for each number. You will be provided with one half of the registration form with your number and the rules of play. Remember you may only play each number once per week. See the person at the desk to pay, or clearly record your number on the stickers provided and drop them in the yellow box. You may also pay by debit or cheque made payable to CCHPCS Toonie Draw.
    2. AT A TICKET BOX LOCATION — at one of the yellow TOONIE FOR HOSPICE boxes completely fill out the registration form. Keep the stub part of the form for your records. Record the number from the registration on one of the yellow stickers provided and place it securely on your toonie, and place the completed registration (the part with your name, phone number and email) and toonie in the box.
  2. All players must be 19 years of age or older.
  3. If you register a number, it is yours for life and is non-transferable. Annually all registered numbers will be reviewed and if the numbers have not been played for 12 consecutive months — and after notification to the registered owner — the number will be retired.
  4. The draw will take place each Wednesday at 6 pm at our office at the Amherst Centre Mall. In the event the draw should be postponed it will take place on Thursday at 6 pm.
  5. You must have your toonie with your registration number on it, in a yellow box by Wednesday at 11 am each week for that week’s draw at 6 pm. Monies will be accepted at the CCHPCS Office, Amherst Centre Mall until 3 pm on Wednesday.
  6. If the registered number that is drawn is not played that week, the prize will be rolled over to the following week.
  7. Prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the draw date.
  8. Members of the Board of Directors of Cumberland County Hospice Palliative Care Society (CCHPCS) are ineligible to play.
  9. In the case of discrepancy, the master list of the Cumberland County Hospice Palliative Care Society (CCHPCS) supersedes all other lists.
  10. The Cumberland County Hospice Palliative Care Society (CCHPCS) reserves the right to make changes with two weeks’ notice and approval of the Nova Scotia Alcohol & Gaming Authority.
